Michael Pennink, native son of Fayetteville, was a four sport athlete and honors student at the Fayetteville Academy and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with dual degrees in Biology and Psychology, magna cum laude, and lettering with the UNC Men’s Varsity Fencing Team. After graduating from University of North Carolina School of Law, he returned home to Fayetteville to practice estate administration, taxation and business law under the guidance and mentorship of the legendary lawyer Robert G. Ray. In 2015, on sabbatical from the practice of law, Michael worked for Habitat for Humanity, completing a three year assignment as director of community development, directing a large scale project to revitalize the lower downtown Fayetteville mixed commercial and residential area. From his early childhood and all throughout his professional career, Michael has worked alongside his parents and siblings in the Pennink Family to revitalize downtown Fayetteville and run the family’s two commercial real estate enterprises, Pennink Properties, LLC and Cross Creek Real Estate, LLC. All these endeavors have served to give Michael a solid background in business, law, and development along with an intimate knowledge of the Fayetteville Area and a wide network of contacts upon which to draw for information and business relationships. Michael now brings all these assets to work as a broker for Franklin Johnson Commercial Real Estate. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading the stoics and moonlighting as semi-professional guitarist.
